Clean Clothes for Developing Countries

In the U.S. most of us are used to the luxury of either having a washer and dryer in our home or a laundromat close by. For countries that are still developing they are not so lucky. Design Affairs' Swirl concept is a new concept to help these counties move toward cleaner clothes. The idea is that this creation uses only man power of either rolling it or kicking it around to clean your clothes. You just put your clothes in, add some water and detergent, and your good to roll. I think this is great for anyone who doesn't have the luxury of a washer.

New Ketchup Packet

After all the years of dealing with the same ketchup packets, Heinz has finally released a new design. Their old packet has been around since 1968. The new packet has the capability to be squeezed or dipped. The packet also hold three times as much as the old packets did, which is ideal for most people since they used to go through so many of the old ones.

A Home I'd Like to Live In

Most homes are in a box shape with a roof above it. Today we are used to having at least two floors and maybe even a backyard. Gary Neville has a very different idea of what a home should be. Neville is known for being very pro the "go green" movement, but he recently announced that he is going to be building a 8-million-pound eco house in the Bolton countryside. The designs have been created by London's Make Architects. This house will be almost fully underground and will use solar panels and wind turbines. I personally feel as if im looking at something only seen in the movies. The look of the home is amazing and beautiful. I hope to see more of these created, but at a much cheaper price.

A Work Station, I'd Never Work In

As technology advances, more and more jobs revolve around working with a computer. The reclinable Emperor 200 chair is perfect for someone who spends most of their days in front of a computer. Although this may be good for a hard worker, or a gamer, I believe it is making the world lazier. The chair itself gives a person less of a reason or need to get up. Sooner or later we will not need to get up at all, which will lead to health and weight problems. As an Americans i believe America is already too lazy and this product on encourages that laziness even more.

Electronics Take on a Natural Look

A company called Lexon has released simple electronics that use a bioplastic for the body and a bamboo shell, to create a more natural look. These electronics range from clocks, to calculators and lights. The products are very pleasant to look at and are very different than the common metallic objects we see today. I personally am a fan of naturalistic looks to anything over a cold metallic look. Wood is a warm material, that makes the person looking at it feel the same way.
